Coach house in Werneckstrasse: Farewell to paradise – Munich

For 36 years the Sachs family lived in the coach house with a view of the magnificent Suresnes Castle. Anyone who hears about their “nocturnal encounters” understands that saying goodbye not only triggers sadness, but also means “redemption”.

Blossoms float in a glass bowl that stands on a garden table in front of Christine and Christian Sachs. When asked where their favorite place is, the two answer in unison: “Here.” Here, that is behind the yellow castle walls, next to the magnificent Suresnes Castle and in front of your own home, the coach house. Yellow facade, green shutters, a white parasol provides shade. The couple are sitting under a dead tree from which a Bobby James rose is growing. Christian Sachs proudly pulls out his cell phone and shows how her Bobby James blossomed a few weeks ago. “It’s a paradise on earth,” says his wife about the garden. But as idyllic as the home is, its location brings problems at night. In the 36 years in which the couple and three children have filled the small house with life, they have had to get to know them.
