CNews is no longer very far behind BFMTV, thanks to Zemmour and Praud

CNews’ offensive strategy seems to be paying off. BFMTV is gnawing audience shares by its competitor to the point of fearing losing its first place. According to TV Magazine on Saturday, the gap between the two 24-hour news channels narrowed considerably, with only 0.1 point audience share separating the first from the second for a good part of last week.

BFMTV, which maintains its leadership during the day, is passed in front by its rival from 5 p.m. “The evening segments of CNews, worn successively by Laurence Ferrari (Punchline), Christine Kelly and Éric Zemmour (Facing the info), Pascal Praud (Time for the Pros 2), Anne Fulda (L’Heure des livres) and Yves Calvi (rebroadcast of Real Info) are all in front of BFMTV ”, thus notes TV Magazine.

BFMTV does not take over until 10 p.m. In two years, CNews’ audience has increased by a factor of 2.3. And this, thanks in particular to Pascal Praud and Eric Zemmour. The latter attracts between 700,000 and 900,000 viewers every evening.
