CME Group Launches Micro Ether Futures While ETH Priced Around $4K

Major derivatives exchange Chicago Mercantile Exchange Group has launched Micro Ether futures to join other crypto derivatives, including micro Bitcoin futures, Bitcoin futures, options on Bitcoin futures and Ether futures.

In its announcement on Monday, the CME Group said it haddebutMicro Ether futures contract size 0.1 ETH, which allows both institutional and retail investors. There is another product for Ether exposure, the cash-settled micro ETH derivative offer is traded under the code Globex METZ1 and will join a range of crypto derivative products including micro Bitcoin ( BTC ) futures , Bitcoin futures , options on Bitcoin. futures and Ether futures

Tim McCourt, global head of alternative investment products at CME Group, said the proposal would help investors “They can hedge their Ether price exposure or execute their Ether trading strategy more quickly,” said Joshua Lim, head of derivatives at Genesis, “Micro Ether futures contracts will fill demand, flexibility, and more accurate hedging.”

The announcement comes after the price of ETH and many cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, dropped sharply over the weekend, with ETH falling more than 15% since hitting an all-time high of $4,785 on Nov. $4,016, down more than 13% over the past seven days.
