The start-up “Human Material Loop” has developed a technology that can be used to make yarn and clothing from human hair. The trial phase is currently underway, and the Dutch company’s first collection is due to appear at the end of the year.
They are an expression of vitality, eroticism and – depending on the hairstyle – they bear witness to the political attitude; in ancient times they were considered the seat of life force and soul: hair.
