Many people want to shop sustainably, but often stand at a loss in the supermarket. A new label shows at a glance whether food is good or bad for the climate. Does it work?

No student in her department had ever been allowed something like this at the venerable King’s College in London: Marcia Holst, Jasper Döninghaus and Leonardo Vizioli had submitted a joint thesis. But it was so unusual and innovative that the director of the faculty made an exception.

The two Germans and the Brazilian met three years ago at the university in London. They studied philosophy and political economy.
