Climate protection activists are again blocking a street in Berlin – this time a motorway in the direction of BER. With the location, the airport should be “peacefully” paralyzed.

Climate protection demonstrators have blocked the Autobahn from Berlin to the airport. Several men and women were sitting on the street just before leaving for the airport on Friday morning, reporters reported and could be seen in photos from the “Last Generation” initiative. There was a long traffic jam.

The climate protest initiative announced that its members drove more and more slowly on the freeway with several cars next to each other, stopped before the exit, parked the cars across, got out with warning vests and banners and stuck to the street.

At the beginning of the week, the group announced that it would “peacefully paralyze airports” after numerous blockades of motorway exits and crossroads. She calls for more measures to combat climate change, such as a speed limit on highways and cheap local transport. The blockades have been running in many German cities since the beginning of the year. The police have initiated hundreds of criminal cases for coercion and resistance.
