Classification without follow-up of a report made

The report made to the courts regarding the homophobic chants sung during the last PSG-OM, at the Parc des Princes, in September, was closed without action because it is impossible to individually identify the authors of the chants, we learned. AFP Thursday.

This report was made by the interministerial delegate for the fight against racism, anti-Semitism and anti-LGBT hatred (Dilcrah), Olivier Klein. “We did receive feedback from the prosecutor following the report which was closed without further action” because “the authors of these songs cannot be individually identified”, indicated the Dilcrah.

The interministerial delegation, an organization attached to Matignon, specified that it would continue to work with the Professional Football League (LFP), associations, PSG and all sports federations “to fight against homophobia in sport”.

Another complaint filed against Prime

For these same facts, several LGBT+ associations filed a complaint on November 8 in Paris against Amazon Prime, broadcaster of the match. In the rebroadcast, “it is possible to hear several chants from supporters coming from the stands. Some of these songs are of a pronounced homophobic nature,” denounces the complaint.

According to an Ipsos survey published at the beginning of September and conducted with the LGBT+ Sports Federation, 46% of French people say they have already witnessed homophobic or transphobic behavior in the sporting environment.
