The Munich Philharmonic under the baton of Andrés Orozco-Estrada will show how different a concert at “Klassik am Odeonsplatz” could be in the late Sunday evening in the encore section: the most famous excerpts from Bizet’s “Carmen” and Rossini’s “Tell” overture are banging on over the audience and are jubilantly absorbed. This is very effective as an encore. But it’s also nice that the main program doesn’t serve the classic hit subject at the same level of escalation beforehand.
