City Football Group is about to take over FC Palermo. According to reports from Sky sports Manchester City owners want to buy the Rosanero club.
The negotiations are based on a sum of almost ten million euros and should not end even if the Sicilians do not make it to Serie B via the playoffs.
City group wants to bring Palermo back to its former glory
At best, the City Football Group would like to have taken over the Serie C club by the 2022/2023 season, it is probably a long-term project with the aim of bringing Palermo back to its former glory.
In addition to Manchester City, the City Football Group also includes FC Girona from Spain, MLS club New York City FC and Melbourne City from Australia.
