Watch the video: New ranking – nine popular places that disappointed tourists the most.

There are cities and sights that a traveler absolutely has to see – at least that’s the common cliché. But often the expectations of the cities and their sights are not met. A travel services manager has now determined which of the 100 most popular cities have disappointed visitors the most.
First place: Paris. 20 million people annually visited the French capital before the pandemic. But not even a fifth of the 8,000 sights in the city completely convinced the visitors.
Runner-up: New York City. Only a quarter of New York’s attractions have been given top marks by users of the Tripadvisor platform.
London also made it onto the dubious podium. The British capital was also overrun by 20 million visitors a year before the pandemic. But only a quarter of the city’s 8,400 attractions received a 5-star rating on Tripadvisor.
The three most overrated cities are followed by Istanbul and Milan.
Vienna, Los Angeles, Antalya and Rome are in sixth to ninth place.
The analysis was carried out by the luggage storage Bounce.
According to the travel company, the cities of Rhodes, Marrakesh and Porto are more worthwhile, they did best in the ranking.
