Citi has also appointed Puneet Singhvi as Head of Digital Assets for Institutional Clients (ICG) as of Dec. 1, according to company records. Singhvi will serve as Head of Blockchain and Digital Assets for Citi’s Global Markets Team.
Singhvi will report to Emily Turner, Head of Institutional Business Development at Citi, where Shobhit Maini and Vasant Viswanathan will be co-heads of Blockchain and Digital Assets for Global Markets.
“Our focus is on evaluating the needs of our customers in the digital asset space,” Citi said in a statement. “Before offering any products and services, we need to study these markets. as well as changing governance practices and the risks involved. to meet our own regulatory framework and expectations.”
Citi said the company also intends to “Hire more talent in the coming months.”
