Circle and across: Söder and Anton Hofreiter’s hairstyle – district of Munich

Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann, the resolute FDP defense politician in the Bundestag, must be able to do magic. This did not escape the attention of Florian Hahn, member of the Bundestag in Putzbrunn. Because the Liberal can apparently do both at the same time: chair a committee meeting and tweet at the same time – “without having picked up a device in the last 15 minutes,” as Hahn observed. The man from Putzbrunn paid her “respect” via Twitter, in order to announce again in the bubble that he agreed with the FDP member on one thing: Germany must supply Ukraine with more heavy war equipment – including tanks.

Hahn and Strack-Zimmermann raise this demand almost every day on the social media platform, which significantly increases their level of awareness: Hahn now has more than 10,000 followers, his FDP colleague even more than 140,000. And that in times when where celebrities like SPD general secretary Kevin Kühnert or CSU parliamentary group leader Jens Spahn leave Twitter. Both criticize the culture of debate on the Internet and no longer want to constantly expose themselves to shitstorms.

Anton Hofreiter from the Greens fears them less, but he hasn’t been active on the short message service for years, although more than 20,000 people still follow him there. But Unterhachinger doesn’t really need the platform to make himself heard. His constant calls for more heavy weapons for Ukraine also resonate throughout the republic because not so long ago it was considered unthinkable that a leading member of the peace party would become the foremost supporter of arms supplies.

At this point, Hofreiter, Strack-Zimmermann and Hahn march in step, also driving the Federal Chancellor in front of them. The Greens and the Liberals even went on a visit to Kyiv relatively shortly after the start of the Russian war of aggression, when Olaf Scholz was still hesitating and hesitating. And Hahn, who otherwise never misses an opportunity to attack the Greens in a few characters on Twitter, does not say a bad word about his competitor from the same federal constituency when it comes to arms deliveries. You know each other and Hahn will know how serious “Toni” is.

Word hasn’t gotten around to the tree-hugger and green-eater Markus Söder. Instead, he recently delivered a verbal lapse at the CDU party conference that is far below the usual level on Twitter. He only believes Hofreiter that he is for the Bundeswehr if he gets a decent, military haircut. This is how you can approach the topic. Or you try it with content. But neither at party conferences nor on social media do they draw as well as inappropriate jokes.
