From this Thursday on, Catholic clergy and lay people will meet again in the Frankfurt exhibition halls for the fourth assembly of the Synodal Path. A few weeks earlier, a surprising and rude statement from the Vatican had triggered outrage: the German synodal path was not authorized to change the teachings of the church, it said. Sister Katharina Ganz, Superior General of the Oberzeller Franciscans and delegates on the Synodal Path, is not discouraged.
