Christophe Galtier is indeed the new coach of the Aiglons

After weeks of negotiations with Losc, they therefore came to an agreement. The Ineos group, owner of OGC Nice, announced this Monday evening that Christophe Galtier, released from his commitment with Lille, is now the coach of the Aiglons.

“I met Jim [Ratcliffe, le président d’Ineos], it is very clear that he wants to be ambitious for the club and so am I, ”said the 54-year-old defender in a statement released by the Riviera club.

According to The team, the Gym would have spent a little less than five million euros to find this agreement with the club of Dogues, champion of France last season. Christophe Galtier is engaged with the Riviera club for a period of three years.

A very busy coach

Much in demand since, Christophe Galtier had confirmed, at the end of May, to have been requested by Nice, but also Lyon and Naples, “among others”. The Gym project convinced him.

“Christophe is recognized as a coach who develops talent, which is essential for our sporting project,” commented Jim Ratcliffe. This appointment is considered a significant step forward in our project and our desire to participate regularly in European competitions and to be competitive there ”.

This Monday, part of the Aiglons were back at the training center of the Riviera club for a series of tests. The new coach is expected by their side from Tuesday.
