Christmas: where you can fulfill wishes in the district of Ebersberg – Ebersberg

Christmas is the time of wishes and gifts – in a year with an inflation rate of over ten percent, however, there shouldn’t be much money left in some households. So that children’s eyes in poorer families can shine and needy seniors can look forward to a little something under the Christmas tree, numerous “Christmas wish trees” are springing up again this year in the Ebersberg district. With the gift campaigns, donors can make their chosen godparents happy without much effort.

For example with the Christmas gift campaign that the Hypovereinsbank together with the Ebersberg table and Petra Behounek from the “Drachenstube” toy store. In the Ebersberg bank branch, Heinrich-Vogl-Strasse 8, the Christmas tree has recently been set up, which is already decorated with all sorts of wishes. During opening hours, Christmas baubles with gift wishes for children and young people as well as for seniors can be taken from the Ebersberger Tafel.

The matching goods can then be found in Petra Behounek’s toy shop. Gifts can be bought and deposited there. All in all, around 140 children and young people and around 40 senior citizens of the Ebersberger Tafel have to be given presents. As in the past, the personal wishes of senior citizens are bought by the donors, wrapped up for Christmas and handed in at the bank.

the Women’s Union in Vaterstetten-Parsdorf meanwhile, has set itself the goal of further expanding the Christmas wishing tree campaign that was successfully carried out last year with around 500 gifts with a total value of around 12,650 euros in order to make even more low-income people in the community happy with a Christmas present. “Our project has been very well received by the citizens in recent years, we have received a lot of support and are sure that many sponsors will support us again this year,” says Michaela Merzendorfer, Chairwoman of the Women’s Union in Vaterstetten-Parsdorf.

As a cooperation partner, the Women’s Union has that OHA! Open House of Workers’ Welfare be able to win. Its director, Edith Fuchs, knows all of her protégés big and small personally – and therefore also their very personal and secret wishes, which can then be fulfilled by the desired sponsors. It could be a voucher for a care product from the drugstore for an elderly woman, a toy for a child or simply Christmas cookies for a family. If you want to take part, you can get a wish list either from the Christmas wish tree in the OHA, in the Vitalytic health center, at Vesuv Moden or at the Gasthof Purfinger Haberer. The wishes are all worth around 25 euros.

Anyone who chooses a note from the tree can have the staff register them there, obtain the gift and bring it back to the pick-up point, nicely wrapped, together with the wish list by Friday, December 9th. You are also welcome to give a personal Christmas greeting to let the recipient know who the donor is. As the Women’s Union writes in a press release, the gifts are expected to be handed over again this year in small groups as part of a Christmas party.
