Going shopping at the end of the year knowing that we in Germany will have used up all the resources we are entitled to on May 5th can seem quite macabre. Gifts should be something good, in the best case not only for the recipient, but also for those around you. If you want to consume a little more consciously at Christmas, you shouldn’t be paralyzed by a bad conscience or misled by false promises. Likewise, nobody has to desperately just wrap bamboo toothbrushes in newspaper. Because there are many ways to give differently and better.
