Next year there will apparently no longer be “Christmas Eve with Carmen Nebel” on ZDF. The station is reorienting itself.

In recent years, ZDF viewers have celebrated with the presenter Carmen Nebel (67) Christmas. In 2024, however, audiences can expect something new. The program “Christmas Eve with Carmen Nebel” will probably no longer be shown, as “Bild am Sonntag” claims to have found out.

“Christmas Eve will be redesigned in 2024,” a spokeswoman for the Sunday newspaper at least confirmed. However, Nebel will remain a presenter at ZDF, the report continues. Exact details are not known. In November 2020, ZDF extended the contract with Nebel until the end of 2023 and held on to the presenter’s annual Christmas programs.

In recent years she has not only presented “Christmas Eve with Carmen Nebel” on ZDF at Christmas time, but also the charity gala “The Most Beautiful Christmas Hits”. The 2022 show collected donations totaling more than 2.6 million euros for the aid organizations “Misereor” and “Brot für die Welt” with the support of numerous celebrities.

Will Giovanni Zarrella step in?

It would be conceivable that Giovanni Zarrella (45) would take over here too. In March 2021, the now 67-year-old presented her show “Welcome to Carmen Nebel” for the last time. “The Giovanni Zarrella Show” effectively succeeded the format and premiered in September 2021. Since then, Zarrella has appeared on ZDF in several editions of the show. In the music show he always welcomes numerous stars, preferably from the hit genre.
