How does that work? I thought to myself while reading “Brüderchen” that you must recommend this novel with everything you have. What I have: passion and enthusiasm. And the vague feeling it won’t work that way. To beat a loud drum for such a tender, fragile family history as described in “Brother”? Which still comes with such emotional power that I might even be at a loss for the right words?
