The President of the Republicans (LR) Christian Jacob asked this Monday “the withdrawal of the lists of the presidential majority” of Marc Fesneau, François de Rugy and Denis Thuriot to avoid “a risk of governance with the extreme left” in three regions.
“We want to prevent the extreme right or the extreme left from coming to power everywhere. However, there is a risk of governance with teams of the far left or extremist Greens in a certain number of regions ”, argued the boss of LR after a strategic council of the party.

This is why “in the Pays de la Loire, we are asking François de Rugy to withdraw” and “in Center-Val-de-Loire we are asking Marc Fesneau to also withdraw”, as well as “to Denis Thuriot in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, ”he added.
The Strategic Council also “recalled unanimous support for Renaud Muselier facing the National Rally” in Paca, added Christian Jacob who will make a trip “with Gérard Larcher and François Baroin” this week in the region where the RN is ahead of LR by 4 , 5 points. “Tomorrow, Renaud Muselier must not miss a voice,” he insisted.
First party in France
