Chris Noth breaks his silence: The “SATC” star gave an interview again for the first time in 2021 after allegations of abuse had arisen.

Chris Noth (68) breaks his silence after the allegations of abuse, which first surfaced in December 2021. In the first interview after several women accused him of rape and sexual assault, he now commented directly on the incidents in an interview with “USA Today”. “I cheated on my wife and it’s devastating for her and not a pretty picture,” said the “Sex and the City” star candidly. Nevertheless, he drew a clear line: “But what that is not is a crime.”

So far he has only commented on the allegations in a brief written statement. Shortly after the allegations arose, he let it be known that there had never been any abuse, but he already admitted to having sex outside of marriage. All encounters with these women were consensual. Noth sticks with this representation now. The allegations at the time were “completely ridiculous” and “absolutely fact-free”.

“You give yourself the same excuses as many men: It’s just a little fling and it’s fun,” Noth said of his misconduct. There were a lot of people wanting to have sex with him and he was like, “Well, I’m not going to get that chance again.” His previous behavior may sound defensive because he doesn’t go into the details, but that’s not it: “There is no criminal court. There is no criminal process. There is nothing that makes me go on the witness stand and tell my story.”

Chris Noth: “Suggestive story that isn’t true”

In general, he doesn’t like to talk about these things because the tabloid media would immediately pick up and publish parts of them. But he doesn’t want his kids to see it. Chris Noth has two sons, Orion, 15, and Keats, 3, with his wife Tara Lynn Wilson. All the allegations are a “suggestive story” that is not true. But he couldn’t just retire either, because he wanted to continue being creative as an actor and he also had to take care of his children.

“I can’t just rest on my laurels,” says Noth. He only has enough to let a year go by. Noth doesn’t yet know what his future as an actor might look like: “I don’t know how to assess or judge the return to the club, the business, because the companies are afraid.” He has to keep going and persevering.

The sexual assault allegations against the actor by two women were made public in late 2021, a week after the premiere of And Just Like That…, the sequel to Sex and the City. Three other women then spoke up and said he had also sexually assaulted them. SATC stars Sarah Jessica Parker, 58, Kristin Davis, 58, and Cynthia Nixon, 57, later issued a statement supporting the women and praising them for coming forward. The authorities never pressed charges.

Chris Noth is fighting for his career

Noth first lost a $12 million contract for a tequila brand and his endorsement deal with a fitness equipment company. In addition, his part was dropped from the season finale of “And Just Like That…” and his stint on the CBS series “The Equalizer” ended. However, Noth has now landed a new project. He is the face of Samuelsohn, a tailor-made suit company. She started a campaign with him to raise awareness of men’s mental health. He was also able to land his first theater deal in autumn 2022.
