Sexual assaults: Acting colleague reiterates allegations against Chris Noth
After two women accused “Sex and the City” actor Chris Noth of rape, a former colleague of Noth has now come forward – and reinforced the allegations.
Chris Noth was just swimming on a wave of admiration and success. With his – albeit short – appearance in the “Sex and the City” series “And Just Like That”, he played his way back into the hearts of fans of the cult show. The accusations that are now being voiced against Noth are all the more shocking.
Chris Noth: colleague publishes her own allegations
Two women told the newspaper “The Hollywood Reporter” independently of one another that Noth had sexually harassed them and then raped them. According to the article, the two women do not know each other and would have reported separately to the magazine. However, both said they had been reminded of the incidents because of the advertising campaigns for “And Just Like That”. The women have stuff inside that backs up their version of the story.
Noth immediately denied the allegations, speaking of friendly meetings. Now actress, writer and director Zoe Lister-Jones has also raised her own allegations. “I was working at a club in New York owned by Chris Noth in my twenties and on the few occasions he showed up he was consistently sexually inappropriateness of another female promoter,” she wrote on Instagram. Years later she had a guest appearance on the series “Law and Order” and played alongside Noth.
“Fuck Mr. Big”
“He was drunk on set. During my interrogation scene, he had a beer under the table that he drank between takes. In one shot he came very close to me, sniffed my neck and whispered, ‘You smell good.’ I didn’t say anything. My friend at the club didn’t say anything either. It’s so rare that we do that, “recalls Lister-Jones.
She claims that she does not want to compare her experiences with those of the other two women. It is important for Lister-Jones to emphasize that most of the alleged victims still do not dare to come out in public. “In most cases there is no accountability and no consequences,” she writes. The 39-year-old says Noth benefited from his role as Mr. Big. He represented a fantasy of many women. “Fuck Mr. Big”, Lister-Jones ends her statement. In the comments, the filmmaker received a lot of encouragement from other women.
