Chloe, the missing jogger, found alive

Chloé, the jogger who disappeared on Friday in Dammartin-en-Goële, in Seine-et-Marne, was found alive in the neighboring department of Marne, the Meaux prosecutor’s office said on Saturday noon.

“She said she ran away with one of her friends. As she is consenting, the procedure for worrying disappearance has been terminated, ”said Jean-Baptiste Bladier, the prosecutor for Meaux. The young woman “was found thanks to the geolocation of a telephone whose existence we discovered by her relatives”, he specified. She was “discovered in the company of a man whom we have nothing to reproach”, concluded the prosecutor.

The young woman had not given any sign of life since Friday morning when she left for a run in the early morning. Worried not to see her return, her mother had reported her disappearance to the gendarmerie in the morning.

Twenty-four hours later, a hundred gendarmes were still deployed to find the young woman, reinforced with all-terrain motorcycles, a helicopter, a drone and horsemen, had indicated the commander of the gendarmerie group of Seine- et-Marne, Colonel Michaël Fumery.

The research focused mainly on the area of the town where the young woman resides. “We regularly go back to the sites near the home in Dammartin-en-Goële, we work concentrically with these sites. We continue to patrol and search the entire sector, ”explained Colonel Fumery.

In the middle of the day, some 200 worried residents were gathered, in the rain and in the grayness, in front of the entrance to a park to volunteer for a beat.

The Meaux public prosecutor’s office had opened an investigation for a worrying disappearance, entrusted to the Paris research section in conjunction with the Meaux research brigade.
