If you currently want to enter China on a regular basis, you have to be prepared for at least seven days of the strictest hotel quarantine. Unthinkable for many company bosses, and since the beginning of the corona pandemic, hardly a German corporate leader has set foot on Chinese soil. A trip with the Chancellor could come at just the right time: no quarantine, plus personal contacts up to the highest government circles in Beijing.
