This video by a Florida father shows three brothers standing on a dock by the lake.
The father films the boys from behind while the kids excitedly point to an alligator.
One of the boys suddenly pushes his brother into the lake. The predator darts towards him and the video ends abruptly.
The video has been viewed more than six million times on YouTube alone.
One user comments: “With a brother like that, you don’t need enemies anymore.”
Another added, “If this is your family, the alligator is the least of your problems.”
The father then published two more videos. In one, he explains that the brothers are fine and that they often swim in the lake.
In the other video, it becomes clear that the whole action was a prank.
The clip makes it clear that the alligator in the video was a dummy.
However, it remains unclear whether the boy knew about the prank from the start or was genuinely frightened.
