Children injured in accident – man commits hit-and-run – Bavaria

After an accident with two injured children, the alleged cause of the accident committed a hit-and-run in Lower Franconia and surrendered the day after. As the police announced on Tuesday, a 31-year-old came into the oncoming lane on Sunday near Stadtlauringen (Schweinfurt district) for reasons that were previously unclear. There he collided with the car of an oncoming 39-year-old who had his two children aged seven and twelve with him. The two children and the father were injured in the accident and then taken to a hospital. However, the 31-year-old who caused the accident left the scene of the accident before the emergency services arrived and without worrying about how to proceed. The police then searched for the 31-year-old, but this was unsuccessful. The 31-year-old turned himself in to the police on Monday and had to hand in his driver’s license. The exact circumstances of the accident are now being determined.
