Relevant chat logs as well as image and film material with child pornographic content were seized by officers of the Erding criminal police when they searched eight apartments in the districts of Freising, Erding and Ebersberg. The searches, which took place last week, were triggered by information from the Federal Criminal Police Office.
According to the police headquarters in Upper Bavaria North, the men whose homes were searched were in all cases “urgent suspects of having stored, received or sent files containing child pornography on mobile phones, computers and other data carriers”. The officers deployed secured a large number of devices and storage media. A data carrier detection dog from the police, which was specially trained to search for storage media, was also used in the campaign.
Investigations were initiated against the accused, aged between 19 and 58. According to a spokesman for the police headquarters, the cases are not related to each other.
