Since the reality TV show “Dies Ochsenknechts”, Cheyenne’s fiancé, Nino Sifkovits, is no longer a stranger. In an interview with the star the farmer talks about the mother-in-law, the pregnant child’s mother and what it’s like to stand ankle-deep in cow dung.

Cheyenne Ochsenknecht has been in the limelight since she was a child, now she is on an Austrian farm with her Nino in the cow dung. Her father is one of Germany’s most famous actors, Uwe Ochsenknecht. The model started in the fashion sector as a teenager, lived in Paris and had several agencies. In her jet-set life, one could have imagined a footballer by her side. But she chose a farmer from Austria, although a well-known footballer even introduced her to him. In an interview, Nino Sifkovits tells what it’s like to live with an ox farmhand.

How exactly did you meet Cheyenne? Did you or she take the first step?
I met Cheyenne almost four years ago in Berlin through my best friend Valentino Lazaro, who was playing soccer for Hertha BSC at the time. We were a large group of friends who did a lot together. Cheyenne was there too. Cheyenne took the first step. I think that was the “Bauer Effect”.

How do you like being a celebrity now? Is it a big change?
Not much has really changed for me. I’m ankle deep in cow dung most of the time with my rubber boots on. It’s very grounding and I don’t see myself as a celebrity. I was raised too down-to-earth for that.

How was the first meeting with the Ochsenknechts? Were you scared?
The first meeting was then with Natascha. She greeted me very warmly and we went to eat Arabic. Three weeks later she offered me to move in with her, along with Cheyenne. I think you can see what a great woman, mother and mother-in-law Natascha is. It also got along well with the rest of the family. I became part of the family very quickly and without any fuss. I am very grateful for that! I wasn’t really afraid, I guess I have too healthy self-confidence for that.

A life with your small family in the village: How is your fiancé doing as a farmer?
Cheyenne is doing very well as a farmer. Of course it was a change for her, but when she was very pregnant and still took away the wheelbarrow full of manure, I quickly realized that she would master life on the farm.

Your first thought when she was unplanned pregnant?
I was really happy because it came as such a surprise. It was always my biggest wish to become a dad early and then a girl. An indescribable feeling, full of happiness hormones.

What would you like to tell your daughter about life?
I want to tell her that no matter what she does in life, she should always have fun and not take everything too seriously. She should do what she loves, because that makes you happiest. Of course also the important values. Decency, respect and love for animals and family.
