Several reports that a chemical smell could be perceived in eastern Kirchseeon were received by the Ebersberg police station on Tuesday. The patrol that was deployed also confirmed the impression of the citizens. In the course of the investigation, it turned out that the unpleasant odor came from a crop protection product that had just been applied to a nearby field.
According to the police, the drug corresponds to the current EU standards, “so that there is no danger to the population or to the flora and fauna”. The smell is likely to reappear in the next few days, especially on the B304, since the agent is also applied here, according to the police.
