In an interview, Jorginho talks about the biggest dream of his professional career. It’s all about Pep Guardiola.
European champion Jorginho from Chelsea has an interview YouTube revealed the dream he had and still has for his career – to play under manager Pep Guardiola of Premier League rivals Manchester City.
“Have I ever dreamed of playing under Guardiola? Yes, I have. I don’t know if it will happen again. But yes, he is a reference,” said the 30-year-old midfielder.
The admiration for the current city coach comes from his youth, when Guardiola won title after title with FC Barcelona. “When I was a kid, I watched his FC Barcelona win everything with Ronaldinho, Xavi and Iniesta,” said Jorginho.
Jorginho: “Shouldn’t switch to Chelsea first”
In the interview, Jorginho also revealed that he shouldn’t switch to Chelsea in 2018, but to another Premier League club. Chelsea’s offer reached him while he was already in London, according to the Italy international, and he immediately chose the Blues.
With them, the native Brazilian won the Champions League last season – by beating Guardiola’s Manchester City in the final. He personally crowned the strong season by winning the European Championships with the Italian national team.
