Chelsea are holding their new manager and (unsurprisingly) it’s Mauricio Pochettino

It was announced. It is now official. Mauricio Pochettino was appointed Chelsea manager on Monday. The Argentinian has returned to the bench since his dismissal from PSG in the summer of 2022. His mission? Straighten the London club after a nightmarish season that ended in 12th place in the Premier League and an elimination in the quarter-finals of the Champions League by Real Madrid (2-0, 2-0).

Mauricio Pochettino, who signed a two-year contract with an optional extra year, returns to the Premier League four years after being sacked from his role by Tottenham. Spurs fans will appreciate those who hate the Blues.

“Mauricio is a world-class coach with an exceptional track record,” co-owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali said in a statement.
