Chechen leader
London: Kadyrov wants to prove Putin loyalty
Ramzan Kadyrov is the ruler of the Russian Republic of Chechnya. He sent his own fighters to the war in Ukraine and prominently presents their successes. Why?
“Chechen forces represent a relatively small but prominent part of Russia’s forces in Ukraine,” the British statement said. It went on to say: “Kadyrov is probably heavily touting the role of his units in part because he wants to polish his credibility as a Putin loyalist.”
The British Ministry of Defense has published daily information on the course of the war since the beginning of the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine in February 2022. Moscow accuses London of disinformation.
