Andrea Berg is at the top of the album charts with her contemplative album “Christmas” and is celebrating a record.

Andrea Berg (57) has done it again. With her new album “Christmas” she landed at number one in the Official German Charts, determined by GfK Entertainment. This means the German pop singer has 13 number one albums to her name and is the most successful female act in the album charts. US pop star Madonna (65) has twelve number one records.

It’s very Christmassy

On November 17th, Andrea Berg released her new album “Christmas”. The motto of the work: “Modern and traditional at the same time”. Self-written songs as well as Christmas classics can be heard on the album, including the songs “Dezembertraum”, “Christmas”, “Küss mich unterm Mistletoe” as well as “Schneeflöckchen, Weißröckchen”, “Feliz Navidad” and “Silent Night”.

Till Lindemann (60) landed in second place in the album charts with “Zunge”, while Kontra K (36) secured third place with “Nobody steals hope from me”. Fourth place goes to Feine Sahne Fischfilet with “Everything shines” and in fifth place is Shirin David (28) with “Bitches need rap”. As GfK announced on Friday (November 24th), Andrea Berg’s album is one of the ten ranked holiday albums this week. A total of 15 Christmas titles also landed in the single charts.

The Wham! classic “Last Christmas” climbed to tenth place, Mariah Carey’s (54) “All I Want For Christmas Is You” made it to number twelve. Shakin’ Stevens’ (75) “Merry Christmas Everyone” (21st place) and Sia’s (47) “Snowman” (31st place) are also at the top. However, the single charts are topped by Cassö, Raye & D-Block Europe with “Prada”, followed by Tate McRae (20) and “Greedy”, “Vois sur ton chemin (Techno Mix)” by BENNETT, “9 to 9 ” by SIRA, Bausa & badchieff and “Si No Estás” by Iñigo Quintero (21).
