Lady Louise Windsor is becoming more and more popular. Now the niece of Charles III. at the Royal Windsor Horse Show.

Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022) loved horses and the Royal Windsor Horse Show. Her granddaughter Lady Louise Windsor (19) follows in her footsteps. On Sunday (May 14) she sat on the carriage at the prestigious event.

15th in line to the throne

Lady Louise is the niece of King Charles III. (74) and is 15th in line to the British throne. She is the daughter of Charles’ brother Edward (59) and his wife Sophie (58). So far, the couple has largely kept them out of the public eye. At the coronation on May 6th, the young woman already attracted a lot of attention. She wore a floral dress by Suzannah London with a matching hat to Westminster Abbey. The next elegant appearance followed just a week later. She drove a carriage with two black horses and wore a beige look with a fedora hat, riding jacket, floral tie and riding gloves.

Her grandfather, Prince Philip, inspired her to take horse-drawn carriage rides

The horse-loving queen would certainly have liked this performance. But Prince Philip (1921-2021) would also have been enthusiastic. Louise is said to have been his favorite granddaughter. He went on many carriage rides with her, arousing her passion for the sport. After his death at the age of 99, Louise even inherited his carriage.

Lady Louise’s mother Sophie also attended the horse show at Windsor Castle. She presented rosettes to contestants in the costume contest at the Copper Horse Arena. The Duchess of Edinburgh wore a black and white floral dress and black leather boots. At the beginning of the week, she and her husband Edward followed their daughter’s first carriage ride.
