Princess Charlène of Monaco can finally visit her family. After months in South Africa, she started her journey home to the Côte d’Azur.

Princess Charlène von Monaco (43) is finally returning to her family. As reported by the “Bild” newspaper, citing a palace spokeswoman, she is currently on her return flight from Durban in South Africa to the Côte d’Azur. Due to a severe ear, nose and throat infection, Prince Albert II’s wife (63) had been stuck there for months, separated from her husband and her twins Gabriella and Jacque (both 6).

According to the report, the princess reached the airport of the third largest South African city on Sunday evening at 10 p.m. German time. Her close friend, the Zulu king Misuzulu (47), accompanied her to see her personally. At 10:40 p.m. the private jet that had flown from Nice via Johannesburg to Durban took off again for Europe. A spokeswoman announced that Charlène was in a good mood and was looking forward to returning home.

Albert II has already announced that he will return soon

A few days ago Albert II betrayed in one Interview with the “People” magazinethat his wife’s return is imminent. The princess had been in her native land since May. In mid-October, she announced via Instagramthat her health has improved. The former swimmer has been married to Prince Albert II of Monaco since 2011. In December 2014, Charlène gave birth to twins Gabriella and Jacques.
