For months there have been wild rumors about the state of health of Charlène von Monaco. Now Prince Albert gave an update on the condition of his wife – and explained why he took their twins out of school.

After months of forced separation from her family, Princess Charlène of Monaco returned home at the beginning of November. But a little later came the shocking news: His wife was being treated in a clinic outside Monaco, Prince Albert announced last week in an interview with “People” magazine. His wife suffered from deep “exhaustion, both emotionally and physically,” said the 63-year-old in an interview.

Since then, there has been wild speculation about Charlène’s health. In the hope of calming the rumor mill, Prince Albert has now repeatedly commented on the condition of his wife. “Charlene was really exhausted,” he told the French newspaper “Paris Match”. For this reason, the family decided together that they should get help abroad in order to be able to relax in peace.

Prince Albert denies rumors about Charlène of Monaco

Albert denied the rumors that Charlène’s month-long stay in South Africa and her current absence have no health reasons. “I know the rumors”, explained the Monegasse. The couple had no problems and the marriage was not in danger, he said. The long separation of the married people is only due to Charlène’s “worrying state of health”. “We miss her and our marriage is in no danger,” he said.

Charlènes was previously stuck in South Africa for months. Because of a severe ear, nose and throat infection, the 43-year-old could not get on the plane and travel back to Monaco, it said. However, some observers only used this as an excuse. Instead, it was suspected that Albert and Charlène’s marriage was about to end.

Others claimed, however, that the mother of two did not suffer from any infection, but had undergone several beauty interventions. But Prince Albert also denied that in an interview with “Paris Match”. “There were no cosmetic surgeries. There were only problems with the teeth, nasal septum and sinuses,” he said.

Children taken out of school

Because the princess needed further treatment, he and his wife decided to take their children out of school for the time being. “They miss their mother. They support their mother by sending her lots of love. It is easier in this situation to teach Jacques and Gabriella in the palace,” said Albert.

It was not until the beginning of September that the twins started school at the Catholic private school “Institution François D’assise-Nicolas Barré” near the Prince’s Palace. However, this should not be a permanent solution. “As soon as we can judge that the situation is improving, they will be taught normally again,” said Albert.
