The English writer Roald Dahl had a thriving imagination and that may be why his children’s books have been selling for decades and many of them have been made into films for the second or third time. In Great Britain he caused an uproar again last weekend, more than thirty years after his death – the newspaper telegraph published a long research. The new editions of Dahl’s children’s books had been searched and compared with old ones and found hundreds of changes. In “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” and “Matilda”, especially in “Hexen Hexen”, where 59 passages alone were revised to protect sensitive minds.
