Chancellor Scholz arrives in China… cold and minimal welcome.

The German Chancellor has just arrived in China.

He was greeted as he got off the plane by the deputy mayor of Chongqing.

Suffice to say that in Chinese diplomatic language, it is a humiliation.

A snub.

That means you don’t count.

You don’t interest us.

You are negligible…and we Chinese are very angry with you.
