FC Bayern Munich has the final training session before the Champions League opener Manchester United completed with attacker Kingsley Coman and new signing Raphaël Guerreiro.

The 29-year-old former Dortmund player Guerreiro is approaching his debut for the German football champions after suffering a calf injury in pre-season. He may be part of the squad for the first time on Wednesday (9 p.m./DAZN). The French winger Coman was missing from the 2-2 draw in the top Bundesliga game against Bayer Leverkusen due to muscular problems.

The training session on the club premises was led by Thomas Tuchel. The 50-year-old head coach is not allowed to sit on the bench against Manchester United. The reason is a ban because of the yellow-red card that Tuchel received in the quarter-final against Manchester City last season. Tuchel has to watch the game against United in the stands and his assistants have to take over the coaching.

Kimmich and Musiala there

National players Joshua Kimmich and Jamal Musiala were also in training. Midfielder Kimmich only played for one hour against Leverkusen due to tendonitis. Tuchel then spoke of a “medical requirement” to limit the 28-year-old’s playing time.

Musiala came on as a substitute against Leverkusen after suffering a torn muscle fiber. The 20-year-old could now be a candidate for the starting eleven again. However, Thomas Müller could also start in the central offensive midfield again. The 34-year-old could celebrate his 100th win in his 143rd Champions League game at the Allianz Arena. National goalkeeper and captain Manuel Neuer will also be out for the premier class opener after breaking his leg.
