Paris Saint-Germain superstar Lionel Messi has set a Champions League record with his missed shot from the point.
Infamous Champions League record for Superstar Lionel Messi of Paris Saint Germain: The Argentinian missed a penalty in PSG’s 1-0 win over Real Madrid in the round of 16 first leg on Tuesday night. It was Messi’s fifth missed shot from the point in 23 attempts.
This brings Messi level with longtime Arsenal striker Thierry Henry, who also has five penalties missed in the premier class. No other player has collected more failed attempts.

Messi still got over his miss against Thibaut Courtois, PSG beat Real Madrid thanks to a late goal from strike partner Kylian Mbappe and now have good prospects of progressing to the next round.
With his 23rd penalty attempt in the Champions League, Messi broke another record. Because he overtook long-term rival Cristiano Ronaldo in the number of attempts from the point.
