Central defender Matthijs de Ligt was absent from FC Bayern’s final training session before the final preliminary round match of the Champions League against Inter Milan on November 1 (9 p.m. / Amazon Prime Video).

The Dutchman was substituted at half-time in the 6-2 win against Mainz due to muscular problems. Previously, he had to be treated after a duel. Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann will give de Ligt a break against the Italians.

National soccer player Leroy Sané, on the other hand, was present at the training session, of which only the first 15 minutes could be seen. Around two weeks after a muscle injury, the 26-year-old should be part of the squad.

Lucas Hernandez also returned to the pitch. The defender was back in team training for the first time after tearing a muscle bundle. For the home game against Inter, however, he is not yet an option.

FC Bayern has already been determined as the group winner and in the round of 16. Inter has also made it into the knockout phase as a fixed second in the table.
