Six minutes later there was a double chance to take the lead: A 60-meter pass by Manuel Akanji landed at Thorgan Hazard thanks to a slip by Lisandro Martinez. He let Amsterdam goalkeeper Remko Pasveer push him to the left in the penalty area, but brought the ball back into the center, where Jude Bellingham just headed past the gate.
Dortmund continued to pressure, a goal for Westphalia was apparently only a matter of time. After just under 20 minutes, the Amsterdam team also spoke up: A long-range shot from Haller rushed just past the right angle.
Hard red card for Hummels
The game became emotionally charged after just under half an hour. Hummels went to work at the center line with a side straddle against Antony, but hardly hit the Brazilian. The English referee Michael Oliver pulled out the red card and stayed after consulting the VAR in his hard decision, at least.
Decimated BVB takes the lead

When the strength fades
As the playing time increased, the pressure of the Amsterdam increased, also because the strength dwindled at Dortmund. The result was the equalization by Tadic.
