Paint creative window pictures with chalk pens: This is how the practical markers work

Anyone who currently spends a lot of time at home is always looking for something new to do. Do you know chalk pencils? The beautiful decoration on the window is suitable for the whole year. Read here how you can draw creative window pictures with your children with chalk pens.
With chalk markers you can simply conjure up beautiful decorations on the window. The pens are popular because they can be wiped off easily and therefore mean little work. There are no limits to your creativity, you can paint freely or use practical templates. The latter are well suited for families with children, because the little ones can simply color in the templates and various works of art can be created.
This is how chalk pens work
With chalk pens you can ideally paint on smooth surfaces, because this is the only way the chalk can be easily wiped off with a damp cloth or even with a dry sponge. Chalk pens have liquid chalk inside, so you need to shake the markers well before using them.
Chalk pencils in colored or white
The classic Chalk pencils are white and look like a felt-tip pen. They can be used to create detailed images and fonts. There is also colorful chalk markersin different colors like blue, green, yellow or red. There are also chalk pens with a round tip and a beveled tip. Depending on whether you want to paint or write with the pens, you can create lines of different thicknesses or thin. The same applies to the thickness of the line width, because there are pens with different line widths. The right choice of chalk pens therefore depends on the application.
Freehand or with a stencil?
You can use the chalk marks to paint freehand or use stencils from the Internet or from master books. The latter offer the advantage that there is a large selection of different motifs and the template sheets are already ready for use without having to be printed out and cut to size beforehand. There are templates for every imaginable topic, from animals to seasonal motifs such as Easter and Christmas to fairy tales.
Tips for painting with chalk pencils on the window
- Tip 1: Shake the chalk pen well before use and pump it down on a piece of paper. Do this until the color fills the tip.
- Tip 2: To avoid accidentally wiping away the chalk motifs, you should start at the top. If you are right-handed, start at the top left and if you are left-handed, start at the top right.
- Tip 3: If you want to avoid grease stains on the window, it is worth wearing gloves.
- Tip 4: Have a lint-free cloth and glass cleaner ready while you are painting, so you can easily correct small mistakes.
How do you get rid of the chalk pencil?
You can simply wipe chalk markers off the window with a damp cloth. Often you can even do this with a dry cloth, but you will achieve the most thorough result if you use water or a glass cleaner as well.
