Celebrities: Cara Delevingne only went into rehab after paparazzi photos – Panorama

Cara Delevingne, 30, model and actress, went to rehab because of paparazzi photos. The pictures that showed her visibly confused and disheveled at a Los Angeles airport after the Borning Man Festival in the US state of Nevada were the reason she sought help last year, Delevigne said in one Vogue-Interview. “I was not feeling well.” Nevertheless, she looks back on it positively: “Sometimes you need a reality check, so in a way these pictures were something I can be grateful for.” According to her own words, she made her first experiences with alcohol abuse at the age of seven. When she was ten, she was prescribed sleeping pills and diagnosed with a motor development disorder: “That was the beginning of psychological problems and unintentional self-harm.” At the age of 15 she took antidepressants. Lots of parties and drug use followed. So far for her most recent therapy, however, she has not been ready to tackle her addiction.

Goldie Hawn, 77, actress, regrets not having picked up her Oscar in person. In 1970, the comedy actress was awarded the golden trophy for her first film role in “The Cactus Blossom”. In an interview with the US trade journal Variety she said, “I’m sorry.” Back then, at 24, she didn’t expect to win the Oscar – and even forgot about the award. In her place, actress Raquel Welch accepted the award in Los Angeles and said Hawn was unable to film. “Then I woke up at four in the morning to a phone call. It was a man’s voice saying, ‘Hey, congratulations, you did it.’ – ,I have something?’ – ‘You got the Oscar for best supporting actress.'” After that she called her parents and cried a lot.

Lena Meyer-Landrut, 31, singer, thought school was stupid. “I found the system corrosive at the time and boycotted it internally,” she told the German Press Agency. “I only went through school because I had to and wanted to graduate.” Meyer-Landrut, who grew up in Hanover, still finds little to gain from the state school system, which places little emphasis on individuality. “This is our next generation. It’s really important that they are prepared as well as possible for what’s going on in the world. That life and learning are fun, passions are developed and just satisfaction is created.”
