It is not that easy to find the basis of the CDU. But if Google Maps is not completely mistaken, then it has to be somewhere here, in the Ramelow fashion house, on the market square in Heide in Schleswig-Holstein. The search first leads up an escalator, straight into the women’s fashion department. The prospect of a “traditional kale meal” from the CDU local association has brought you here, but now it is important to keep your bearings between the latest blouse trends and the cash desk. Passing the bags and accessories to the left, you finally come to the Böttcher department store-café. And then Marc Trester, the chairman of the local association, opens the glass door and says with an impressive naturalness: “Such a personal kale evening is better than doing it digitally.”
