For two weeks, the candidates on “Germany’s Next Top Model” were spared from being kicked out. Heidi Klum obviously had some catching up to do.

At “Germany’s Next Top Model” the ranks are thinning out. After no one was kicked out of the show for two weeks in a row, Heidi Klum apparently had a lot to catch up on. Because six candidates were able to pack their bags and return from Los Angeles in the episode broadcast on Thursday evening Fly Germany.

Four of them even had to leave the show before the big decision walk (with twenty wind machines and long veils in front of their faces) because they didn’t even qualify for it: Nuri, Jana, Yusupha and Felix, four out of six in the previous episode The chosen shaky candidate was already the end of the line. There was support for Klum in the decisions made by model and guest judge Winnie Harlow.

Lilli and Dominik followed them later. They were all confronted with the dreaded Klum sentence that, as she said, “none of you want to hear”: “Unfortunately I don’t have a photo for you today.” The show boss herself was also very moved by her own decision: “It’s really breaking my heart.”

“Today we’re dressed like we’re at a funeral”

The expulsions hit candidate Armin particularly hard – even though he confidently made it to the next round. “Jana gone, Felix gone, Yussi gone, Dominik gone,” he said in shock. “Now not only is your female caregiver Jana leaving, but also your absolute best friend here.”

Armin and Dominik, who was expelled, both from the Allgäu region, knew each other from their school days and applied together for the model show, in which male models are also taking part for the first time in the current season.

“Nobody goes to sleep smiling today,” said candidate Aldin, who had bad thoughts about the black outfits even before the decision was made: “Today we’re dressed like we’re at a funeral.”

20 candidates are now fighting for the top model title.
