It’s rare to see Horst Lichter so enthusiastic: a bangle with an unusual stone captures his attention. The expert even knows which mine the stone comes from.

Markus Wolff thinks his piece of jewelry is for a more stylish celebration, not for everyday life. Horst Lichter puts it a little differently: “My God in heaven! It sparkles and flashes,” enthuses the presenter when he sees the bracelet that the 49-year-old professional firefighter from Eschweiler brought with him to “Bares für Rares”. He got the jewelry from his parents, but his wife doesn’t wear gold and he thinks it’s too good for the safe.

That’s why it’s now on the table at Heide Rezepa-Zabel. The expert praises the unusual stone. It is a boulder opal that comes from Queensland. Silica crystallized there over millions of years and formed opal. The acid is responsible for the magnificent colors that make the stone shine. Rezepa-Zabel can assign the origin of the stone to the exact mine based on the special drawing. Lichter is amazed!

“Cash for Rares”: The expert corrects the desired price upwards

Wolff would like 1000 euros for his piece of jewelry. The expert hopes that it will be significantly more: the gold value alone amounts to 1,500 euros. Together with the diamonds and the stone, she estimates the piece at 2,200 to 2,400 euros. Now the seller is also surprised.

In the dealer room, even Walter Lehnertz is enthusiastic: “I’m usually there No jewelry included, but that’s something unusual,” says “Waldi.” Julian Schmitz-Avila opens the bidding round with 1,000 euros. But David Suppes and Elke-Velten-Tönnies are also bidding. And so the hammer only falls at 2,300 euros .Markus Wolff is more than satisfied!
