Anke Staffeldt had only known Lisa-Maria Kellermayr for three and a half weeks when she found out about the death of the Austrian doctor. “Two days before I chatted with Lisa-Maria,” says Staffeldt, “it’s just unbelievable that a person took their own life because of this hatred.” The two doctors had fought together with others against the hate that was being thrown at them on the Internet, but Kellermayr probably believed that he could no longer fight it. She took her own life on July 29.
