Many people were injured when two trains collided in Greece. According to the police, several wagons caught fire. The accident happened about 350 kilometers north of Athens.
According to the police, a number of people were injured in a train accident in Greece. On the route between Athens and Thessaloniki, there was a collision between a passenger train and a freight train on Tuesday evening. Several wagons derailed and some caught fire.
The accident happened near the city of Larissa. Fire engines and ambulances from surrounding towns drove to the scene of the accident. Rescuers took injured passengers to hospitals and freed others from the rubble. The military had been asked for help, and two other hospitals in Larissa had been put into emergency mode.
The cause of the accident is still unclear.
