Caroline Garcia’s journey at the WTA 1000 tournament in Beijing ended in the quarter-finals on Friday. The French player, 10th in the world and seeded n°9, was beaten by the Polish Iga Swiatek (6-7 [8]7-6 [5]6-1), ranked No. 2 in the world, seeded No. 2 and victorious this year at Roland-Garros.
