Carnival in Markt Indersdorf and Vierkirchen: Gaudiwurm with 55 floats – Dachau

Colorfully decorated floats pull through the streets to thumping basses: On Saturday in Vierkirchen around 3000 participants delighted the 7000 spectators of the carnival parade. On Sunday in Markt Indersdorf, 55 cars lined up, around 20,000 spectators were expected. The fun worm was sometimes exotic (from Egypt to Mexico to Jamaica), sometimes political: one car lamented the closure of the Pasenbach nursing home, another the armband debacle at the World Cup. The Giggenberger dwarfs hooted, the bees from Pelka buzzed and the wimps, well, pulled a brothel through the streets. The police announced on Sunday that there had been no unusual incidents. However, many an ordinary fallen person may have been among the revelers.

At the Indersdorf carnival procession, 55 floats with almost 3000 participants are lined up, thousands of spectators line the kilometer-long path.
